2-Stroke

The Stihl MS 261 is a 50.2cc  2-stroke professional chainsaw aimed at farmers, land managers, and working arborists who need mid-weight production capability with 16" to 20" guide bars. It delivers a noticeable power step up from the homeowner MS 250 without the heft of the MS 361. The MS 261 uses a Zama carburetor and features professional-grade anti-vibration. An M-Tronic variant is available. Under production use, the spark plug, air filter, and fuel system are the primary maintenance items. It pairs with the MS 271 as Stihl's mid-professional lineup.
