The Stihl FS 131 R is a 36.3cc <!-- verify: stihlusa.com --> 4-Mix professional trimmer and the successor to the FS 130, built for sustained heavy brush cutting and demanding vegetation management. The 4-Mix engine (50:1 premix, 4-stroke valve train) drives rigid brush blades and clearing saw attachments at this power level. Improved anti-vibration over the FS 130 reduces operator fatigue during long production cuts. Valve clearance inspection, gearhead repacking, and fuel system service are maintenance tasks alongside standard spark plug and air filter replacement. Preferred on utility right-of-way and pipeline maintenance contracts.
